The first diagram illustrates how cement is produced, and the second one shows how to use cement to make concrete for construction purposes. Overall, during the five-step manufacturing process of cement, raw materials are crushed and then go through different machinery before turning into cement and being bagged. The production of concrete, however, includes only one step in which four ingredients are mixed. Cement production begins with limestone and clay being crushed to form a kind of powder. This powder is then mixed before being heated in a rotating heater. At the fourth stage, it is ground to be ready for packaging as cement. The production of concrete, unlike that of cement, requires no complex machinery and is done by pouring four different materials into a concrete mixer. Half of the mixture is made up of gravel, and the other half includes 10% water, 15% cement, and 25% sand. All these materials are mixed in a container that rotates clockwise in order to make concrete.
